Yes.It is.We can make it to download with fastest speed. It won`t make system slow.It is a little tweak that anyone can do manually.I will first tell you the way that any advanced user can do.The alternative way is to download a file which will do the trick automatically.
So,what we need to do this.Only two things.First, Internet Download Manager. And Second, Registry Editor.Internet Download Manager can be downloaded from their official website -> Link
Registry Editor. You do not have to download it.It is already there within your system. You can run it from "Run" box.Press "Windows+R" to call "Run" and put the value "Regedit".Click ok.That will open the Registry Editor.
First open the Internet Download Manager window and click on "Options".Then goto "Connections" tab. Then select "Other" from the drop down in the "Connection type/Speed" option.Click "Ok".Now exit Internet Download Manager [Tasks -> Exit].
Now open Registry Editor.[Windows+R -> Run -> Regedit].
Expand "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" [click the "+" sign]
Expand "Software"
Select "DownloadManager"
On the right side panel there is a key named "ConnectionSpeed".
We have to modify its value.
Right Click on the key "ConnectionSpeed" and click "Modify".Then select "Decimal" and put "999999999" [without quotes] in the field.Click "Ok".Now exit the Registry Editor [File -> Exit].
Now launch Internet Download Manager and goto "Options" -> "Connections".
At Connection type/Speed you will see Other and in the field the value will be "999999999".
This will make it to download at highest speed.
If you think all this is a mess to do.You can download a file and use it to do it manually.Just download it, extract it with the password given below and you will find a file "Fastest IDM.reg".Just right click on it and click "Merge".Thats it to do.
